Frantom 606 Trim Saw Bearing Replacement
« on: November 22, 2020, 09:55:19 PM »

I am trying to replace the bearings on an old Frantom 606 trim saw. I have removed the arbor housing and believe I need to hammer (w/block of wood and copper hammer) the arbor to remove the first bearing. If this is correct am I first removing the inner or outer bearing? If not HOW do I remove the bearings?

Thank You in advance.

Photos would help.  Frantom made a fair number of models.  Procedure will depend on what you have.

Model just says 606

Update:  I removed the arbor and bearing housing. Copper hammer lightly striking the blade retaining nut. It will only come out one direction.  Now to get the bearings pressed out and replaced.
