Orbicular rhyolite
« on: December 24, 2020, 02:13:47 PM »

This orbicular rhyolite is what I am calling it I collected of Hiway 46 in Templeton, CA with a fellow rockhound while also looking for biconoids (local thundereggs).  It looked interesting in rough and I wanted to see what it looked like as a sphere.  Came out better than I anticipated, although it did undercut quite a bit leaving uneven "topography" on portions that I kept natural.

Be safe and Merry Christmas to all.
