Finished last evening, this has set of lines that are almost perfect and the other pattern just seems to do whatever!

That is quite the optical illusion with the banding and grain lines. Very nice sphere.

It looks like it shifted as it was forming the straight lines throw you off as the banding is sort of attached to them.

I'm with Ryaly2dogs. Makes me dizzy. You stare at it and after a bit your eyes want to cross. I like it. Can't wait to do mine.
