Which 24 inch saw
« on: November 04, 2021, 06:06:55 PM »

I am going to buy a new 24 inch saw soon. Diamond Pacific is out because I do not have 220 power in my saw shed. I am leaning to the Barranca diamond model.
What say yee? Thanks for your input .

Hiya' Frank.

Wish you were closer to AZ. A lady we know is going to be selling a pristine Frantom 24". I think it could be had for $4K, but would have to confirm that with her.

I would like to have it, but we don't slab enough larger material to justify buying it.

Have you checked with Cigarbox rock to check their stock of rebuilds ?

Barranca Diamond is a solid saw, their build times are usually fairly long though.

Finally got the owner of the immaculate Frantom 24" here in AZ to agree to accepting a realistic price.

Nicest 24" I've ever seen - $2400 firm, with local pickup only.

There is also a Frantom 10" with original vise and fence for $800 plus actual shipping cost.
