cab machine needle valves
« on: December 28, 2021, 07:46:57 PM »

Hi all, I just purchased a nice used Lortone stainless 6" cab machine with six novas, 600-50,000 grit. Machine is in nice condition, the four highest grit wheels are new. The problem I have is that all the water supply needle valves for the individual wheels are missing. Lortone seems to have gone by the boards, does anybody know where I can get some needle valves that will work? I need six of them. Previous owner just ran a hose to the needed hole but I'd like to return it to normal with the ability to turn water on/off to each wheel without doing that. Thanks !!

Any decent hardware or home improvement store should have good options for you. I've used different types of 1/4" OD valves and compression fittings on old equipment. It works fine with plain ol' plastic tubing.

I have purchased them from fish or aquarium stores also, although as vince said, the hardware would be easiest.

Thanks. My local Home Depot didn't have anything that looked right, Grainger has a better selection which I'll likely have to end up using. I was hoping to find original style which were less protrusive than the ones available at HD or Grainger. I am a pretty good bailing wire and duct tape kind of guy when necessary, but I like my tools and machines to look neat too. I'm also looking for spray jets to modify my Titan to a water fed system and not having luck finding small spray nozzles that would work.
