Hello there! 

Hoping that your doing well, this is my first post...

I want to ask you a question. I have an old Hillquist slab saw and, recently, the drum advancing clutch mechanism
photo1651527035.jpeg (104.73 kB . 720x1280 - viewed 573 times) made the feed screw mechanism go slower every time (sometimes juest suddenly stops  ). I did notice that the problem is on the clutch shoes, because when i gently press it, the drum rotates again.

Do you have similar experiences? How do you solve it?

I don't know what else to do.

Unless someone has that same saw, we will need more pictures and a more complete explanation of how you are making it work on a temporary basis.  Normally problems like this relate to loose set screws or worn threads on the feed rod. Do tell us more.
