15#  used rock tumblers around here are common enough. The wife had bought it at a fleamarket . $50 and a bucket of agates, . It was ancient .  Looking on google images, I found it was a Laratone. She used it to polish rocks for grab bags. These were given away to kids attending her club's rock and gem show.  It didn't turn any more,the nylon bearings and the shafts were worn right out. I replaced the nylon bearing with ball bearing pillow blocks. #201 . I slid 1/2" rubber hose over 1/2" cold rolled for shafts.With the larger base pillow blocks I had to lengthen the angle iron base. This old one could stack another barrel on top. The spacing of the guides for the top barrel was off.  I found the top shaft was 3/8", thanks Loratone.  I  cut a ring on the spacer hose to narrow the guide spacing. I used 3/8 hose to cover the shaft and over that 5/8" heater hose so the barrel would clear. The I found it easier to wire in a new motor than to deal with the old one. It had two separate  wires, and no ground and I think they were fabric covered wires. No guard on the belt either. Why rockhounds don't electrocute themselves, I have no idea. We were given a second barrel, so that's what I'll use for brass rifle cases.
