First, I hope everyone had a great Christmas and has a great New Year. I have really floundered this year with a lack of inspiration to make new cabochons and I did not make one piece of new jewelry. So, I have been working on organizing my pictures of cabs and jewelry. So many files and CD's of pictures with no real order, arrggghhhh...... While the pictures are still in chaos I did get one blessing from this ordeal..... I saw some pictures of cabochons and jewelry from years back that made me think (ouch) I need to make some more pieces similar to this or that one.
I included a photo of what remind me of Elephant Tusks which I cut from Coyote Ridge picture jasper. I will be cutting more tusks and teeth shaped cabochon very soon, just gave me the need.
So, maybe if there are others out there lacking inspiration to fire up the shop, maybe you could look at some of your old work and feel some vibes. Whether it is a picture or holding a stone, it is worth a shot.
