awesome work Jim. I can really appreciate the effort you're putting into this. As far as saleability; If the wire is strong enough or you set the ends with epoxy, I think it is a viable alternative :headbang:

Found some brass (fake gold) wire that was small enough to twist three strands and have them fit into the groove perfectly.

Formed it to the right shape and for some damn reason  :dontknow: it came up just a tad short.

Made the loops just a tad smaller and got enough to make the wrap.

I had it all glued in before Amanda offered to buy it but it is not ruined.

If you still want it Amanda I can send it the way it is and send the other wrapped wire with it or I can remove this twisted wire and put the other wire back on. Maybe a five minute job.

I finished it because I had planned to give it to my grand daughter. I decided to take three and give her a choice today and she chose to take one of the others.

Message an offer Amanda. Keep in mind that I have put a lifetime of work into this cab, worked my fingers to the bone (well, I did break a nail) and I had to have used at least six inches of brass wire and a yard of teeny weeny wire with a value of at least $1.47. So, I guess an offer of something above $1.47 would be fair.

Going out tomorrow with the wound silver back on. I had used super glue to glue in the wire and I had a hell of a time getting it off. I did not realize that the glue had run full length under the wire and after getting the wire out of the groove I had to use a knife to peal out the glue. Very well stuck.

Thanks Jim!
Once I know what the heck is going on with the work crews at my house today I will venture out and get a money order for you.  I need to grab a few groceries anyways, I'll get it done in the same trip.

I have this beautiful stone in hand.  Holy Smokes it's gorgeous!

Now that I have it in hand it's screaming for multiple strands of gleaming seed beads, freshwater pearls, and various small green gemstone beads I have.   :headbang:
