Is it uncomfortable trimming slabs on the 18" saw ya just built Gergis?? That vibe is for doing brass shells and such with walnut or corn cob as media.....bet you either blow it out because of weight or it eats a hole through the bowl on ya!!!!

I have a old homemade 20" saw that's from the 40s that my friends grandfather built..but its in desperate need of new bearings and blade among other issues so it sits.. I wish i had a newly build 18!!

Vibratory tumblers take a long time to tumble stone if you over fill them.  A looooooooong time.  (Course, so do rotaries...  :P)

On a side note, you can also use regular tumbling grit and plastic pellets for each polishing stage, and the pellets can be reused over and over and over- you just have to make sure to keep them separated by tumbling grit (we keep ours in zip locks with the grit used written on the bag).

Just a thought.
