Family reunion cabs
« on: August 08, 2015, 07:46:12 PM »

I started a tradition couple years ago to make cabs for everyone who attend our family reunion each year. It's getting bigger and bigger, 46 in alll this year. I mixed it up this year some variscite, pet wood, moss agates, wonder stone, red horn, Micah, native silver etc.
My wife thinks I'm crazy, spent the last two weeks solid working on these!

You did all those in two weeks, including drilling the holes?  Holy smokes, you're prolific!   :notworthy:

Gave up golf for two weeks (play in two associations during the week), every night til ten, and all day last two weekends. I have all my slabs cut ( see pic) finished Friday night! I have a little drill press I picked up cheap so the drilling part only takes a minute. I drill after the 220 wheel then go for it!

Very nice work for the family. I used to make Christmas ornaments for everyone at my wife's work place, usually out of sterling silver, way back when it was inexpensive, but the last Christmas I made them silver had gone up to $50/oz so I used brass for the seventy some ornaments. I just hope that everyone enjoys and respects your wonderful work :headbang:

Very nice!  Your family is lucky.  And I love the organization of your slabs in a file cabinet like that.  I should be so organized!
