Coober Pedy potch
« on: October 17, 2025, 03:50:33 PM »

A new fish I started recently. Added a mobius to make the eye. A bit of colour under sunlight. This one will have to wow with design as there is not much colour. Early carving stages. May carve more on it.

"A bit of colour" may be just perfect for something like this. Enough to reward a keen eye. Anything more would be a distraction.

Thanks for the great comments. It has purple and green if I look hard. More like a bone carving until you look up close. Working on design on this piece. I have another one in tiger eye thats not up to this stage yet. I need to carve into the fishtail to ad some design.

Carved some steps into the tail. Looks ok but I think the mobius I used for the eye worked better.
